today was my big day to study for the NCE (national certification exam), which incidentally the Keystone state (PA) doesn't recognize as remotely important, so i shipped max and chris off for the day....sure enough, maxwellington zane bovard pukes his breakfast in wexford. well, they're headed home and tomorrow becomes my study day...i'm praying he was carsick and not viral...

the reason for the post is to let you know that i've posted some new videos on youtube.com. i'm not savvy enough to figure out how to post the actual video...i'm working on it. search under maxwellington...there are about four videos...

finally,i want to add amemory that i have fromhighschool. doyou see howthespace bar is only occassionally working...thefirsttwo paragraphs i alteredit significantly so the spacebar worked.nowi'm allowing it to stick to show you a small picture of whatmy typingclass lookedlike in HS. during my first few weeksi had a WORD PROCESSOR that had a faulty, tempermental spacebar...duringtimedtypings i would always lose points for not using the space bar. i tried to explain that it honestly was not my fault, it was the spacebar....convincing huh??? well,i finally learnedhow to "pop" it theright way to avoid losingpoints...thatbroughton a lotof teasing frommy classmates...it was a hard class period....manipulating thespacebar, dodgingpublic humiliation,andconstantly defendingmy compensation mechanismto avoid a bad typinggrade...

i'm sure that it was frustrating to read that...i wonder it it was as frustrating as it was to type it...

Easter lights...

this is an old picture but i love it...tuesday nights we go to chris' parents for dinner...it's always a fun time. tonite, i was particularly in love with young max wellington and we sat in the living room. him sleeping and me basking in the glow of the easter lights my neighbor is proudly displaying. it's nice and max really enjoys looking at the lights...that being said, every holiday, i mean EVERY holiday has a unique set of lights. the easter lights just replaced the st pattys day lights. they replaced the valentines day lights and they replaced the new years lights....do i need to go on?? following easter we are safe until fourth of july...you may be criticizing me because only very sweet people do so many holiday lights....well, not true at all...they also have a HUGE sign on their front porch threatening legal action if you park on the sidewalk. all i want to say is "Did you forget that we live in Lawrenceville (ghetto) and parking on the sidewalk is just a way of life?"

a day with ella at the zoo...

we had a fun friday with ella (bindewald) at the zoo last week. those two loved the polar bears. it's a new exhibit in pittsburgh...erin and i were just as excited to see them as our little bambinos were...it's finally beautiful in pittsburgh...until friday when we are supposed to get wet snow...

"no smoking in church"

two weeks ago, there was a big fire at our church. the fire started in the kitchen and it destroyed the entire basement. the sanctuary was damaged too..we've been meeting at trinity christian school for the past two weeks. this picture of chris' hands was taken the day of the fire. chris went over to see if he could do anything to help...he looked through the hymnals and touched some musical instruments...he smelled like smoke when he came home and we both were a little teary while we remembered maxwell's baptism. a friend of ours from church, who watches max during the day, has three sons, her middle son, has been saying "No smoking in church!" he has provided some major comic relief during this time...

working full time...

today at work, a coworker asked me if i was doing alright. i knew why she was asking because i felt myself slip away from our conversation several times. i miss max. i don't like working full time at all and i miss seeing him after naps and while he learns about the world around him. he's such a sweetheart. of course i like my job--working with the kids at WPSD has been great. i love those kids...i just miss him...

nina jo sansone

when i was six weeks away from having max, bekah announced that she too was pregnant. in august, baby number two arrived and we were thrilled. nina is one of the sweetest babies ever. she started out as a screamer but in recent months she has completely mellowed out. she is so fun and maxwell loves her soooo much. i'll add a better picture so you can see her BLUE eyes...what?? where did they come from?!?!?

let it snow

well, we were outside on chris' parent's deck on thanksgiving. it was 65 degrees. then christmas was lovely and warm. finally in february we got some snow...we can't compare to other's who had 10 ft. but we had a lot. this picture shows our "snowed in" day. we didn't have a sled so chris pulled us on a tablecloth down the alley. max is the one in the green hat and my niece nina is the one in blue...i'll post one of her so you can see how ADORABLE she is!! it's so odd, now it's march--and instead of the snow fading away, we are supposed to get 3-5 inches tomorrow morning...pray for ice, i want to stay home... :)

the big OH-ONE!!

this is max's first birthday party picture. he really enjoyed his first birthday cake. i made it myself, well, decorated it...it was a fish...i'll post a picture of it sometime. he reallly loved his day...so did we.

a day in the life...

well, for a long time i've been harassed because i don't have a way to share pictures, updates, etc regarding MAX. people really don't care about chris and i anymore, it's all about the baby. i couldn't agree more that he is the most phenomenal, amazing person that ever graced the earth and i want to share some of the things that make chris and i delighted on a daily basis...so thank goodness that this is so easy....
